Julian Pauli was born in London in 2005 and joined FC Köln in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund's youth academy. The home-grown FC youngster was part of the successful U19 team that won two trophies in 2023. Pauli was part of the U19 captain's team last season and won the FVM Cup again. The 190cm tall defender joined the professional squad this season and has already made his debut for the club. In addition to his English nationality, Pauli also has German citizenship. Having already played one match for the German U16 national team, he was nominated for the DFB's U20 squad in September 2024 after strong performances.
